Is it possible to repair an MTR installation?

Possibility 1

• check the systema for Windows updates
• Press the Windows button → Settings → Windows Updates → check for updates.
• Once your system has Windows Updates installed, you can update to the latest version of MTR to fix any bugs.
• Download the file https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2151817
• Right-click on the file → Properties and click Allow → OK in the lower part.
• Open the command prompt as administrator and enter the command

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted "C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\MTR-Update-x.x.x.ps1"

• Your system should now update the Microsoft Teams Rooms to the latest version.

To check, you can check the log file at

C:\Users\Skype\AppData\Local\Packages\\Microsoft.SkypeRoomSystem_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Tracing\MTR-Update

Possibility 2

• Use the recovery tool for Microsoft Teams Rooms
• Download the latest version of the installation package.
• The easiest way is to create a folder under C:\SRS
• copy the MSI file into the SRS folder
• open a command prompt and unpack the archive with the command:

msiexec /a PathToMsi /qb TARGETDIR=PathToTarget

• check if a RecoveryTool.ps1 file was created in the created folder.
• If you have problems unpacking, you can use an archive management program and unpack the MSI file with it. There is a file included Recovery Tool which you have to rename to RecoveryTool.ps1.
• Then start the command prompt and execute the command:

powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -File "<path recoverytool.ps1>"
