Error 31. What does this error message mean?

I. If you receive an "Error 31" message in the Meeting Owl App, first try the following:

• Re-attempt pairing your Owls
• Update your Owls' software to version 5.8.0.34 or above. Pairing improvements were made in this version.
• If you are still unable to pair, you should:
• Disconnect the Owl's pairing
• Force close the Meeting Owl App
• Reboot both Owls by unplugging each Owl's power supply for 10 seconds and plugging it back in.
• Check if your organization has a wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS). WIPS can prevent Owls from pairing by blocking the Primary Owl's access point (AP) used to pair with the Secondary Owl.
• If so, remove any rules in your organization's WIPS that would block the following AP: DIRECT-XX-Android_xxxx (Xs are random letters and numbers)

II. If the above conditions are met, do the following to force-reset your Owl Connect pair:

• Disconnect the Primary Owl from the host computer.
• Connect the the Secondary Owl to the host computer via USB. This action breaks the Owl Connect pair.
• Wait approximately 10 seconds.
• Switch the Owls back. Disconnect the Secondary Owl from the host computer and re-connect the Primary Owl to the computer via USB.
• Re-attempt pairing.

III. If problem persists, do the following:

• Reset both Owls in the Meeting Owl App.
• Skip the Wi-Fi option (do not connect to Wi-Fi).
• Re-attempt pairing your Owls.
