"Plug in your Meeting Owl via USB" error message?

• If you are setting up a newly purchased Meeting Owl Pro, it may require a software update before the desktop app recognizes the USB connection. Please download and use the mobile app to complete the registration and update process. After registration is complete, the desktop app will recognize your Meeting Owl's USB connection and you can begin using it in meetings.
• The Meeting Owl Desktop app is not compatible with the Meeting Owl original. If the Meeting Owl Desktop App says “Plug in your Meeting Owl via USB”, ensure that you are attempting to connect with a Meeting Owl Pro or Meeting Owl 3.

Troubleshooting

• Wait up to 30 seconds.
• In some cases, it could take the Meeting Owl App for desktop up to 30 seconds to update this screen after recognizing the Owl’s USB connection.
• Close the Meeting Owl app and reopen it.
• Unplug the Meeting Owl’s USB cable and plug it back into your computer.
• (If using Windows) If the Meeting Owl App for desktop was installed by an Administrator account, right-click the Meeting Owl App and select Run as Administrator.
• Reboot the Meeting Owl by unplugging your Owl’s power for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. Wait until your Owl's eyes stop pulsing and you hear a hoot.
• If your Owl's eyes do not pulse, turn the Meeting Owl over and check for a green LED between the power and USB cable. If there is no light, contact Owl Labs support.
• Reboot your computer.
