User interface enhancements to More menu layout

  • Zoom Rooms for Touch users can experience a refreshed interface with an updated menu item arrangement in the More… menu. The reorganized menu structure provides a more intuitive navigation flow, making it easier to access frequently used features.

Support for Yealink A25 devices

Support for recording with AI companion

  • Users can use AI Companion to capture in-person conversations. They can start recordings directly from the Zoom Room home screen, even during scheduled calendar events of the meeting client. When starting a new ad-hoc meeting, users can claim ownership of the meetings through QR code scanning or email verification when AI Companion features have been enabled. Once claimed, the user will receive all the meeting assets from the meeting card or email, such as recordings, meeting summaries, and whiteboards.

Support for high-frame-rate HDMI sharing on Poly devices

  • Users can share content at 720p60 and 1080p60 frame rates via wired HDMI connections on Poly Studio X32, X52, X72, and G62 appliances in Zoom Rooms. This feature requires Poly firmware version 4.6 or later.

Support for HDMI screen sharing with 1080p 60fps

  • Users with Windows and Mac-based Zoom Rooms can share high-fidelity content through wired HDMI input at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second.

Support far-end camera control (FECC) for NDI PTZ cameras

  • Users can remotely control Network Device Interface (NDI) camera movements during Zoom Rooms meetings using far-end camera control (FECC). The feature allows meeting participants to adjust pan, tilt, and zoom settings of NDI PTZ cameras from their remote location, similar to controlling USB PTZ cameras.

Smart Name Tags Enrollment Educational Message

  • Users who join meetings from a Zoom Room with Smart Name Tags enabled will see an educational message about Smart Name Tag enrollment displayed on the room screen display for 15 seconds after the meeting ends—unless the room is immediately reserved or in use. This message only appears in rooms where users are eligible for automatic smart name tags enrollment. Account owners and admins can disable this feature via the web portal.

Share local content to meeting

  • Users sharing local content in a Zoom Room can start or join a meeting while sharing, then choose to share the local content in the meeting.

Reservation only rooms to display host name on scheduling display when "transform all meetings to private" is on

  • Zoom Rooms, Scheduling display only, and Workspace reservation only rooms will display the host name on the scheduling display when the Transform all meetings to private setting is enabled. Previously, the room was listed as the host. This will apply to AndroidZRC and iOSZRC.

Join a Pexip CVI meeting under favorites on the home screen

  • Account owners and admins can configure contacts to appear on the Zoom Rooms Controller and Zoom Rooms for Touch home screen interface. Admins can add up to three contacts to be displayed, reorder them using drag-and-drop functionality, and designate Pexip CVI video addresses. When contacts are added to the home screen, they appear after existing items by default. Admins can reorder them using the drag-and-drop functionality available in the customized home screen layout setting.

Enhancements to third-party meeting webhooks

  • The webhook "zoomrooms.thirdparty_meeting_attempted" will trigger for both scheduled and ad-hoc meetings with third-party destinations. For scheduled meetings using services like Microsoft Teams through Pexip CVI, the meeting source type is automatically identified. The webhook includes the SIP or H.323 destination address for all third-party calls.

Enhancements to content sharing with floating window and multi-share indicators

  • Users can change shared content in a floating pop-up window with single display during Zoom Rooms meetings. When content is being shared in the floating window, new shares will either automatically replace the current content or prompt a confirmation. A red dot indicator appears on the Zoom Rooms for touch (ZRT) display to notify users when new content is being shared in multi-share mode.

Display count configuration for Pexip

  • Account owners and admins can configure display count settings for Zoom Rooms when connecting to Microsoft Teams meetings through Pexip SIP Guest Join and CVI services. The display count parameter is now communicated through SIP URI parameters, enabling consistent display layouts across both services. Admins can override the default display count settings in the Zoom admin portal with options for single display with merged or separated screen sharing, or dual display configurations.

In-meeting features

Touch up my appearance

  • The touch up my appearance feature gives your picture display a softer focus and enhances your digital appearance in real-time by making adjustments for low lighting, etc. This feature was previously supported in personal Zoom Rooms and is now supported in shared Zoom Rooms as well.

Support for smart name tags in webinars

  • Automatic smart name tags can be used for pre-defined (pre-meeting) panelists in webinars. Participants who are elevated to panelist during the session are not supported.

Physical location-based layouts for smart gallery and intelligent director

  • In-room participants are displayed in a layout that corresponds to their physical seating positions within the Zoom Room. The gallery view layout maintains consistent positioning even when participants enter, leave, or move around the room. The improved layout logic supports multi-streams and optimizes crop ratios to minimize black regions between streams.

Far-end audio control with auto-answer permissions

  • Account owners and admins can enable Far-End Audio Control (FEAC) settings, allowing meeting participants to control another participant's audio during a meeting. This includes adjusting microphone levels, speaker volume, and mute status.Participants can request audio control from either the Zoom Workplace app or Zoom Rooms. FEAC also supports auto-accept functionality, which can be configured by admins via user-based permissions. Participants in the Zoom Workspace App can choose to auto-accept FEAC requests during a meeting or by adding trusted contacts to their Audio Control Group. Note : For FEAC and auto-accept to function, both the requester and the participant granting control must have FEAC enabled in their settings. Zoom Rooms, account owners and admins can configure auto-accept settings at the account, location, or room level.

Enhancements to transcript timestamps

  • Users can view meeting transcripts with improved timestamp organization in Zoom Rooms. When multiple messages are sent by the same speaker within a 5-minute interval, the messages are grouped together under a single timestamp instead of showing individual timestamps for each message. The speaker's avatar appears alongside the timestamp at the beginning of each group.

Enhancements to Smart Gallery and Intelligent Director capacity

  • Account owners and admins can configure Zoom Rooms to support up to 24 participants using smart gallery and intelligent director functionality. The system can process up to 24 people spread across 9 sub-streams. Zoom Rooms can utilize up to 3 cameras placed along different walls to capture larger spaces. Newly created Zoom Rooms will default to the 9 stream maximum.

Enhancements to immersive mode

Users experience improved functionality in immersive mode across Zoom Rooms. The waiting area now functions with floating thumbnails, with videos remaining unaffected by the Hide non-video participants setting. When immersive mode is active, the Hide non-video participants and Hide self-view options are hidden from the interface since they are not applicable.

Enhancements to DTMF access for Pexip SGJ or CVI meetings

  • Zoom Rooms users can access DTMF controls more easily when joining Microsoft Teams meetings through Pexip SIP Guest Join or CVI. A dedicated Keypad button appears prominently on both the Zoom Rooms touch interface and controller when only the Zoom Room and Pexip participant are present in the meeting. The button is automatically hidden when additional participants join.

Admin features

Zoom contact center wallboard display for digital signage

  • Account owners and admins can push Zoom Contact Center wallboard version 2 content directly to digital signage displays. The system reuses the proven design architecture from version 1 wallboards to ensure consistent performance and reliability. Admins can manage dashboard content and display settings through the native digital signage interface.

Room naming and Zoom Device Management

  • Account owners and admins can create duplicate workspace names within the same building level or above. When assigning devices to rooms with identical names, the system displays additional location information including floor name, location name, and room ID. For device imports, admins must specify the room ID instead of room name to ensure accurate assignment. The export function includes room ID and location ID to facilitate proper device management.

In-meeting reminder for host to enable AI Companion

  • Admins can enable automatic reminders for hosts to turn on Meeting Summary and Questions features in the Zoom web portal. Hosts receive non-intrusive prompts at the start of meetings that do not have these AI features enabled.

Enhancements to smart name tag controls with simplified transcript panel access

  • Users can more easily access and edit smart name tags for voice through the transcript panel in Zoom Rooms. Account owners and admins can configure rooms to show the transcript panel by default through a new web toggle. Smart name tag editing options are available on the first page of transcript settings, reducing the number of clicks needed to make changes.

Custom AI Companion notice and express acknowledgment

  • Account owners and admins can require express acknowledgement from a meeting attendee in the Zoom Room before being recorded for AI Companion (AIC). When the Zoom Room joins a meeting, the camera and microphone are disabled until the custom AIC notice is acknowledged. The notice displays with options to accept or leave the meeting. If participants in the Zoom Room don't respond, the room remains in the meeting but cannot unmute or turn on their camera until the acknowledgment is provided.

Configuration options for Help button on Zoom Rooms touch displays

  • Account owners and admins can now configure a help button in Zoom Rooms to display on touch displays. The help button may be configured with various options, including initiation of a phone call through Zoom Phone or SIP PBX calling integration. Admins can set up specific phone numbers and customize support options through the Zoom admin portal's Support tab. When users tap the support button, they can select from available support options.

Custom AV Controller

Mute and poll result video overlays for Custom AV outputs

  • System integrators using Zoom Rooms can now leverage expanded overlay customization for Custom AV outputs. The new overlays include microphone mute status icons and participant poll result overlays that match the native gallery view placement and styling. These overlays can be individually toggled through the ZRC SDK or Custom AV Zoom Room Controller, giving integrators granular control over the display elements.

Hardware I/O testing with SMPTE color bars

  • SMPTE color bars are now used as the test signal in Zoom Rooms for hardware output testing. This update replaces the previous magenta test signal with a standardized color bar pattern that includes specific color values and arrangements used in the audio-visual industry

Display wallpaper on unassigned Custom AV outputs

  • A/V managers can configure Zoom Rooms to display the room's wallpaper background on unassigned NDI and SDI outputs. This wallpaper will show outside of meetings and within meetings until content is assigned to that Custom AV output.

Zoom Phone Appliances

Transfer multi-party conference calls

  • Users can transfer entire multi-party conference calls to other users within their account. When hosting a conference call on Zoom Phone Appliance, users can select the transfer option to redirect all participants to another user's device. The transfer functionality matches the capabilities currently available in the desktop client.

Separate in-call and dialpad volume control settings

  • Zoom Phone Appliance (ZPA) users can independently manage volume levels for different functions through an improved interface. The system maintains distinct volume settings for active calls and dialpad interactions, preventing volume changes made during calls from affecting touch tone volume. Whether using a handset or speaker mode, users can customize their preferred volume levels for each function.

Seamless call switching

  • The user interface now identifies the specific endpoint to which a call has been switched, displaying this information in a pop-up message.

Phone call summary and next steps

  • Zoom Phone Appliance (ZPA) users can initiate automatic summarization of their phone conversations through a new tab on the call screen. When enabled, participants receive an audio and visual indicator that the call is being summarized. After the call ends, users can view an AI-generated summary that captures key points, dates, names, and next steps from the conversation. Summaries are accessible through the phone client history, web portal, or via email, and can be shared with other participants based on admin-configured sharing policies.

Nightly restart settings for Zoom Phone Appliance

  • Account owners and admins can enable automatic nightly restarts for Zoom Phone Appliance devices across their organization through the web portal interface in device management settings.

Intent-based voicemail prioritization

  • Administrators can enable intent-based prioritization to automatically organize their voicemails based on importance. The system leverages AI to analyze voicemail transcriptions and match them against user-defined priority topics, each with customizable descriptions. Admins can control this feature at the account, group, site, or user level through the AI Companion settings. When enabled, users can create up to 10 priority topics, with each topic limited to 50 characters. Additionally, users are able to see special visual indicators for prioritized messages within the list of voicemails that are displayed on the device.

External monitor option for shared content

  • Users with a Zoom Phone Appliance (ZPA) in a dual monitor configuration can now choose to display shared meeting content on their external monitor while keeping live video on the ZPA's built-in display. When content is shared during a Zoom meeting, the system automatically routes the content stream to the designated external display based on the user's configuration. This functionality only applies to devices with an external HDMI port.

Enhancements to emergency services with expanded call management features

  • Users can now perform additional actions when making emergency calls on Zoom Phone Appliances (ZPA). They can access the keypad, add new participants to the call, and manage multiple calls through swap and merge functions. With server-side conferencing enabled, users can add up to 10 participants during an emergency call.

Enhancements to app and firmware update settings

  • Account owners and admins can manage app and firmware updates more effectively for Zoom Phone Appliances through reorganized settings. The update configuration interface separates automatic updates and static rules into distinct sections, so admins can set static rules to maintain specific app versions without enabling automatic updates. When configuring updates at both account and group levels, the settings more clearly indicate whether automatic updates or static rules are in effect.

Conference-barge with seamless multi-party calling integration

  • Shared line group (SLG) members using Zoom Phone Appliances (ZPA) can add calls to an existing c-barge session without putting the current call on hold. When adding a call, users have the option to either merge the new call into the current c-barge or create a separate call. All participants in the c-barge can hear the complete call, including dialing and ringing sounds. This feature requires the "No-hold conference" policy to be enabled in the admin portal.

Call transfer experience with customizable dial pad options

  • Users now have access to a numeric dial pad as the initial interface when transferring calls in Zoom Phone Appliance (ZPA). The dial pad makes it easier to enter numeric extensions as the transfer target, making the transfer process more efficient. Users can switch between the numeric dial pad and full alphanumeric keyboard modes to accommodate different transfer destination input methods.

API: Transfer to voicemail

  • The ability to seamlessly transfer a call that was answered on a Zoom Phone Appliance (ZPA) to another person's voicemail is now available via API.

Additional Poly ringtone for Zoom Phone Appliance

  • Users of Poly Zoom Phone Appliance devices can select a classic Poly ringtone that matches the traditional Poly IP desk phone experience. The classic ringtone option is only available on Poly Zoom Phone Appliance models and will not appear on other device manufacturers' models.
