Is there a possibility to covert the ETS5 archived projects to ETS6 so they can be reused or do they need to be recreated again?

There is a feature that will allow you to use the previously ETS5 archived projects into ETS6 without a need to export them first from ETS5.

This feature will convert the selected projects to an ETS6 project archive format and automatically back them up to the default Project Archive.

An important note is that if you convert archived ETS5 projects into an ETS6 archived project format, you cannot reuse them back into ETS5, so the recommendation is to have a backup of those files before you convert them.

In order to perform this, you need to follow a few steps:

Go to the "Data Storage" section from the "Settings" menu.
Click on the "Convert ETS5 archive project(s)" option and select the archived project that you want to be converted.
And as the final step, select the projects that are converted to the new ETS6 project format and delete them from the ETS6 archive directory.

Once you need to use and work on those projects, restore them from the Project Archive directory.
