Is the resolution limited on the 2nd HDMI track/dual screen?
Hello,
Yesterday we installed the Logitech Rally Plus in our boardroom. In this room we have a full HD projector and a full HD TV. We connected the projector to HDMI 1 and the TV to HDMI 2 and vice versa. The device that was connected to the HDMI 2 could not easily display the laptop desktop in Full HD. The image displayed on the projector, when connected to HDMI 2, always showed some artifacts in the corners. On the TV, the image was only displayed in the center of the screen and the image was distorted.
Does anyone have the same or similar problem or is our unit just broken?
Let me know if you need more information!
thanks for your help,
Luca

Hello,
we have already installed several rally systems and such an error has not yet occurred.
Since the error occurs with both devices, I suspect it's rather not due to one of the HDMI cables or the sources.
I rather think it's a problem on the track between display and table hub or the rally system is defective.
I know the problem with dual 4K in Rally. Nothing is displayed on the second monitor.
But as I understand the workaround on the website, I don't think it makes sense. It uses HDMI-DVI adapters, so that the PC only recognizes the monitors as Full HD. For this you could have simply set the PC to Full HD (was also mentioned in the comments. The actual resolution of the monitors does not really matter to Rally). If you already have two 4K monitors, you want to use them. The only sensible solution would be to connect the second monitor directly via HDMI or HDBaseT (HDMI etc. transmission via CAT cable).
But this should not be the mistake with you, because you connect Full HD devices.
As user89268 wrote there is a solution on logitech's site, if only one of two HDMI displays are working when connected to the Table Hub. This is:
If the meeting room computer is connected to the Table Hub, Rally is able to transmit from the Table hub to the Display Hub either one 4K signal or two 1080p streams.
So, if a computer outputting a 4K signal is connected to the Table Hub, the second signal will not be transmitted - the 2nd screen will be black.
Please configure the computer to do up to 1080p on the first screen before the second screen will display.
Note: In Windows, there are two locations where the display resolution needs to be checked or set. Please make sure the resolution is set to 1080p in both Display settings and Advanced Display Settings as follows:
Go to Settings and System, then Display.
Make sure the resolution is set to 1920x1080.
Click on Advanced Display Settings.
Make sure the Active signal resolution is also set to 1920x1080.
If not, then click on Display adapter properties for Display.
Click on List All Modes and an appropriate 1920x1080 mode that has a refresh frequency which is supported by your display. Most TVs support 60Hz when in 1080p mode, we recommend trying that first. If your TV doesn't support 60Hz, try 30Hz and other s listed in the display settings menu.
The Active signal resolution should now show 1920x1080.
Alternatively, in scenarios where access to computer settings is not desirable or possible, you can use an HDMI EDID emulator that limits the resolution to a maximum of 1080p/60Hz. The emulator should be placed in-line on HDMI 1 between the computer and the Table Hub. HDMI EDID emulators are widely available from multiple sources and in varying prices and capabilities.
I'm having this issue, I was wondering, if I get the logitech swytch will this also be an issue ? I don't want to spend £900 an get the same issue.
swytch only does one monitor not dual
Hello together. Question: What is the point of the two HDMI Out? I have a customer who wants the Rally Plus system so that he can attach 2 Touch 85 inch displays and see the Microsoft Teams participants on one monitor and the presentation or a plan or drawing on the other monitor during a meeting. Is this possible at all? Microsoft Teams meetings only take place on one screen at a time. Thanks for the help on what I can tell the end user.
The PC needs to be able to do dual output for monitors, HDMI/USB C/DP, these are connected to HDMI 1/2 of the Table hub and taken out of the Display hub if the PC is at the table or direct from the PC if at the display.
you don't say if they are using MTR (Teams Room) or Teams desktop client.
If MTR and it is set to dual screen then this will happen automatically.
If desktop client then manual intervention is required.
Note - Teams supports 1080 max, so as stated above it would be better to set your Windows output as 1080 or uses EDID minders to force the resolution. In the case of MTR, EDID minders would be preferred
