Why can't I share HDMI content from within a Teams Meeting but can from outside a meeting?

When an HDMI source is connected to the Logitech Tap, the content (i.e. a laptop) will appear as expected when outside of a Teams Call, but if we attempt the same HDMI sharing from inside a Teams Call, it does not work- it only shows a blank, grey image. This occurs consistently with any HDMI device we try.

  • I've already updated the Logitech firmware to the latest version I could located (v. 1.1.51) with no change to the behaviour.
  • This is a Logitech Tap connected to a Windows NUC that hosts the MTR software. That NUC has been updated with all appropriate drivers and updates available for it.

We consider the ability to share an HDMI source during a Teams Call as being pretty crucial...

Disabling HDCP made no difference. The HDMI content displays correctly outside of a Teams Meeting, but show a grey screen inside a Teams Meeting. So the video signal appears okay as it works outside of the meeting.
