ControlNet Field Bus

Description

ControlNet is utilizing the Common Industrial Protocol CIP, providing critical messaging that does not rely on timing and does not interfere with the control and I/O data transport. It has a data rate of 5 Mbps and it's typically used for redundant applications or tasks that work best with scheduled communication. ControlNet uses RG-6 coaxial cables with BNC connectors, but depending on the distance needed, there might be even optical fibers included. The maximum distance without a repeater is 1000 meters, with up to 5 repeaters, supporting up to 99 nodes on a single network in a trunkline-dropline, tree, or star topology.
