Description
The IO-Link powerful point-to-point communication is based on the 3-wire sensor connection without additional requirements regarding the cable material. It is a fieldbus independent solution and can be integrated into all fieldbus systems, enabling functional and extended diagnosis of end devices or parameter settings due to the bidirectional communication. IO-Link is automated, allowing decentralized data transfer and three communication speeds of 4.8 kBaud, 38.4 kBaud, and 230.4 kBaud. The IO-Link makes the installation and commissioning for new systems less demanding than traditional machine installation, simplifying configuration through standardized interfaces.
